Long Description:

The memorial has a bronze plaque mounted on a stone base. It is located along the walk of honor where several memorials are placed for various wars, units and individuals. The Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery is well cared for with about 4,000 graves with about 400 internments a year. The memorial is inscribed:

1941 - 45

Dedicated To All Men And Women Who Served In America's Armed Forces
During World War II

Faced With Direct Threat To Our Nation's Very Existence, They Fought The War
Which Had To Be Fought, And Won The War Which Had To Be Won

Only By Their Courage, Determination And Sacrifice Were Our
Freedoms and Liberties Saved.  Though Their Generation Will Pass, Their Selfless
Service For Our Country During Its' Darkest Hours Will Forever Shine
Forth As A Beacon Of Hope And Inspiration For Future Generations.
