Painted by renowned Kiowa artist Huzo Paddlety, this mural gives the appearance of a cartoon-like panorama of Indian images. Paddlety is known for his use of vibrant color and his ability to portray traditional themes, sometimes blended with humor.
This mural has widespread green grass, blue sky with clouds and yellow teepees along the horizon. Herds of buffalo are portrayed with only minimal brush strokes. In the sky are large scissortail birds, and what appears to be Indians on horseback, as seen from the ground. The horses are just "hinted" at with several brush strokes, and the Indians are depicted with a flurry of feathers.
On the west (front) side of the building above the storefront is a depiction of an Indian with flowing black hair, and loose tunic, holding a pole with an American flag.
These are colorful murals that just makes you smile.
