Located on the A5 in Bethesda the Douglas Arms is a traditional pub enjoyed by both locals and tourists alike.
The pub sells a good range of beers and ales, usually there is a good selection from local brewers. There is a large beer garden at the back with excellent views of the mountains and the nearby river.
One of the best known local facts about the pub is that the landlord in 1971 resisted the introduction of the decimal currency and it was still possible until very recently to pay for your pint in old money!
* The pub is also known as the Douglas Arms Hotel, although accommodation is no longer provided.
