Dare County EMS – Station #4 – Southern Shores, North Carolina
This one of eight EMS bases operated by the Dare County Department of Public Safety (911 Center), which has a communications center in Manteo, the county seat. Dare County is known for the well-known Outer Banks of North Carolina, which has several thousand tourists during the summer season. This is a very coastal section of North Carolina where it is nearly 70 miles from each points of the county.
All Dare County Ambulances are Type III “Box" Ambulances, capable of transporting two patients and EMS crew members.
