Arch Rock is located in Vinton Furnace State Experimental Forest. The 12,089-acre forest in Vinton County was purchased by the state of Ohio in 2010 from Forest Land Group, an investment company, and was the largest remaining privately owned large block of forest available for preservation in Ohio.
Arch rock has a span of 9.3 feet and a clearance of 8.25 feet.
Parking is supposedly at N39 11.405 W82 24.384. There is a sign at a gate there that reads "Vehicles Prohibited - Foot Traffic Welcome", but if you travel another three-quarters mile there is a parking lot at headquarters with a "Visitor Parking" sign! From the first parking site, it is about a 2.5 mile one-way hike.
