This classic revival structure was built in 1903. It has a square plan and steep hip roof. The building is constructed of decorative concrete block and "Waupaca" brick. There is a Palladian third story dormer with "X" pattern window muntins. (A muntin is a strip of wood or metal separating and holding panes of glass in a window.)

Conrad Gmeiner came to Waupaca in 1893 and was a mason/building contractor until 1904 at which time he continued as the owner/operator of the Waupaca Brick Yard. Gmeiner promoted the use of brick and decorative concrete block for buildings and silos.
