About the place:

The library is located in Calexico. It's a city owned library and is the main library in the city. The mission style library us located a few block from the downtown area and city hall.


About the person:

Camarena was an agent for the DEA. Camarena was born in Mexico and was murder while on assignment in the country for the agency. Camarena worked for the Calexico offices of the DEA. He was tortured and beaten to death in 1985 on orders by the drug lord Miguel Ángel Félix Gallardo.
