The Building:
This is the main fire station in La Mesa, CA. The 4 bay building is in the civic center. It's located across the way from the city's library and city hall. Also nearby is the La Mesa police station.

The Person:
James "J.O." Orsborn has a long history with the La Mesa fire department. In April 1941 he became a volunteer firefighter. In 1981 he became fire chief. On December 31, 1990, Orsborn retired after 46 years of service
