The welcome sign has a 15-foot fiberglass buck deer leaping over a log. The sign is located near the center of town on Hwy 210 in Elmer Park. The sign and deer are real attention grabbers.
Deerwood is a town in central Minnesota with a population of just over 500. The town located in Crow Wing county is located on the edge of the Cuyuna Iron Range, an important source of iron during World War I.
