West Entrance Station - West Glacier MT - U.S. National Register of Historic Places on Waymarking.com

The park managers recognized the need for an official entrance booth to the busiest entrance to Glacier NP, which handled the major part of auto traffic. The earliest check in stations were make shift affairs. In 1938 with the completion of the Middle Fork Bridge a new entrance checkin station was completed in 1941 by the CCC. In 1963 additional wings were added to the checkin station, however the appearance of the original station remained as originally constructed. Over the years other than maintenance the West Entrance Station has remained largely unchanged.
