City Park, the oldest of Cortez's parks, is located from Main to Montezuma Streets and from Park Street to Mildred Avenue. Large, mature trees in the park offer ample shade for a relaxing picnic, while play structures offer state of the art fun and safety for the kids.

A sand volleyball court is located on the north end of the park. Also located at the north end of the park is the Cortez Municipal Pool.

City Park has two shelters available for public gatherings. City Park also has a stage available for performances.
