This flush bracket is fitted to a step in the front of Shire Hall in Westgate Street. The steps are outlined with white paint, probably to prevent trips in the darkness, and this is one of the double height steps. The bracket is almost directly under the righthand lamp where, on the wall, are the words "Gloucestershire / County Council / Shire Hall".
