The globe is made up of horse shoes welded together on a frame. The world's current land masses are shown in outline using a bright colored wire. The globe, weighing about 1,300 pounds was made by metal artist Doug Wilson. The globe is comprised of 575 horseshoes and took approximately 3 months to make.
