This is a monument dedicated to the pioneers of Hastings. The monument tells that the pioneers are buried here in the park and that there are no known record of their actual names.
The plaque reads:
"Pioneer Cemetery
This memorial is dedicated to the early settlers of Hastings buried here during the late 1800's, many of whom are known only to God. -- May 30, 1960"
The monument is located in the NorthEast side of the park in a 4 foot piece of stone and is right next to the american flag pole.
