I found this place accidentally, while walking back to the city center from the nearby Ethnographic Museum. It looks splendid in October, with the fallen leaves and the warm colors of Autumn. There is an inscription over the main gate (see picture) saying something like: "Heroes and War Veterans Cemetery in Sibiu" (in original Romanian language: "Cimitirul Eroilor si Veteranilor de razboi din Sibiu").
There was nobody there, neither visitors nor staff. I estimated the number of graves as about 1000. Most of them are from soldiers who died during the Second World War, but there are graves from different eras. It's located near the main cemetery of Sibiu, but it's independent.
