In Springfield, within the Springfield Technical Community College - Technology Park, there is a set of solar panels on the building closest to State Street. Near the panels, near an entrance to the building, is a bronze plaque with the following:

"This 2.3 kW Solar Grid Tie Solar Array was designed, assembled and mounted by students enrolled in STCC's Photovotaic Practitioner Certificate Program. This system will be used as a training device for new entrants into the photovoltaic field and it is estimated that 2.15 Megawatt hours of energy will be harvested annually."

There is a pedestrian access from State Street. If you are driving, go onto Federal Street, west from State Street, then take the first right. Turn right again and follow the parking lot around to the building at the end.
Type of system: Photovoltaic (electrical)
