Painted in bicentennial colors this flowing well has just about come to its final gallon.

Marking on the shack that covers the well are painted in red white a blue in bicentennial celebration style and the dates 1776 and 1976 flank both sides of the words "flowing well" on the shack.
The shack is located on the south side of a field that is used for parking during the annual Cumberland bridge festival in Matthews the weekend after labor day in September each year.
As for the well, best guess would be this well is down to about a cup a minute. It looks to be from a old gas exploration from the size of the casing. It has a mineral taste to it as well.
