In Dedham, within Legacy Place Mall by the Providence Highway, is a J. P. Licks ice cream parlor. You can tell right off by the 3-D features around the entrance: a cone, a cup in the sign and a cow at the corner.
J. P. Licks is a well known establishment with ten locations in and around Boston, centered around the flagship store in Jamaica Plain (the "J. P." part of the name). They are known for their rich ice cream and frozen yogurt, and change their flavors often. They also roast their own their own 'fair trade' coffee.
The cream-colored coffee cup on the sign is on the left side, tilting toward the sidewalk as if it were going to pour onto your head. The cone with pink ice cream was on the right also tipped as if it would drip on you. The cow in front has spots that are in the shape of the continents of the world.
