Transforming a dead tree trunk into a work of art is what local artist Jeff Klatt has done throughout Storm Lake, IA. This one includes images of turtles, fish, and a whimsical little character peeking out from inside the tree trunk. One can see numerous examples of Klatt’s artistry in parks, on trails, at private homes and local businesses. Subjects include wildlife, angels, still life, and trolls. This carving is along the bike/walking trail behind King’s Point Resort.
