Church is known in in French as Notre Dame de la Paix, and it is known as such to locals. This ecclectic Gothic styled church is patterened after French country churches. Finished being built in 1902, the church the original chapel in Vacherie was built in 1854. The door was locked on my visit, but it really stands out!
