Angelica is a town located geographically in the center of Allegany County, NY. It is also the oldest town within the county. There are numerous activities to do while visiting the town. Nearby state forests provide camping and hiking opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts. During the colder months, a short drive to the nearby Swain Ski Center is ideal for those who love winter sports. Outdoor events are held throughout the summer in town including Music in the Park most Wednesday evenings. Live music is also played every weekend at Black Eyed Susan's Acoustic Cafe on Main Street.
The artistic sign features a key staple of Angelica - its rich architecture. The design of the town and many of its buildings resembles its original layout from the early 1800's. The painting is of a building located within the town.
