Visit the McDonough Welcome Center, a 1920’s prototype Standard Oil Station, located in the heart of historic downtown, to appreciate the charm and vitality of our city. Come in and visit with our friendly staff.
The Welcome Center has brochures showcasing all that McDonough and the surrounding area has to offer. It is also the best source for information from culturally rich Atlanta to the recreational beauty of South Georgia.
Ask for the local calendar of events to find out what's happening in McDonough. We can assist you with directions and maps. Learn where the best antiques stores are located, where you can find a one-mile path that meanders through an unspoiled nature trail at Alexander Park, and where to find other recreational activities and facilities. Discover the best places to lunch while strolling and shopping in downtown McDonough, at South Point Regional Retail Center, or the numerous businesses in-between.
The McDonough Welcome Center is open Monday thru Friday, 8am to 5pm, and Saturday, 10am - 4pm. It also houses the offices of McDonough Hospitality and Tourism and the McDonough Main Street Program.
