CZ: Tenhle vysoký a štíhlý, a presto mohutný buk lesní (Fagus sylvatica) zustává opomíjen oproti platanu, který stojí na druhé strane nevelkého parku. Na rozdíl od nej ani není zapsán mezi památné stromy Ceské republiky. Duvod možná spocívá v jeho špatném zdravotním stavu, jak je patrno i z priložených fotek. Ve spodní cásti jeho kmene je velká dutina, kterou se sice správa zámku a obec pokusily zabezpecit deskami, ale skrze díry mezi deskami si z nej nekterí z neukáznených návštevníku parku udelali odpadkový koš. Strom je opravdu majestátní, jeho výška dosahuje asi 34 metru a obvod kmene ciní kolem 6 metru. Údaj o veku se mi nepodarilo nalézt, ale lze predpokládat, že byl vysazen ve stejné dobe, jako blízký Josefínin platan, tedy asi pred 180 lety.
EN: This high and slim, but monumental beech tree (Fagus sylvatica) is not so popular as the plane standing on the other side of the park. It si not even registered as a memorable tree, although it is 34 m high, its girth is over 6 m and is about 180 years old. Maybe the reason is that it is strongly damaged in its lower part – there is a big hollow (it is possible to see it on the attached snaps).
