CZ: Tento platan javorolistý (Platanus acerifolia) je jedním z mnoha platanu zdobících Ostravu a zejména její centrální cást. Nekolik z nich bylo vyhlášeno památnými stromy vcetne tohoto krasavce, který se památným stromem stal v roce 1989. Pres svou velikost je pravdepodobne starý jen 80 let, protože stojí v místech, kde ješte kolem roku 1930 byla halda. Platan je vysoký asi 22 metru, šírka jeho koruny dosahuje asi 24 metru a v pase má nyní asi 515 cm. Jeho zdravotní stav je velmi dobrý. Ochranu mu stát poskytuje pro jeho nespornou estetickou hodnotu.
EN: This plane (Platanus acerifolia) is one of many planes decorating Ostrava city and especially its central part. Some of them were declared memorable trees. This plane became memorable tree in 1989. Although its age is only about 80 years, it is a monumental tree – it is about 22 m high, 24 m wide (in crown) and its girth is now 515 cm. Its health is very good. It is protected by the state (as a memorable tree) for its great esthetic value.
