Carousel Restaurant - "Back on the Carousel" - San Francisco, CA - Zippy the Pinhead Locations on Waymarking.com

I read in the newspaper that the Carousel Restaurant is in danger of being demolished. This long time fixture in San Francisco was the home of a Doggie Diner. Alas, the Doggie Diner head has been removed from the restaurant and now lives on the median strip a half block away. The head is in good condition and is being cared for, but the restaurant has been through hard time and has fallen into disrepair and has been graffitti-ed. Pictures of the restaurant in its prime can be found at Roadside Characters.

This strip features the doggie head at the corner of the Carousel restaurant, though the restaurant is barely visible. Pictures of the head, now separated from the restaurant, are included here for resemblance.
