Trolley Square is an historic Trolley Barn, built in 1908, that has been renovated and transformed into a festival marketplace, offering unique shopping, dining and entertainment in a charming, historic atmosphere.
One of the longstanding restaurants in Trolley Square is The Old Spagetti Factory. Inside the Old Spaghetti Factory is an actual trolley car that has been refurbished and is now used for dining. Outside the Old Spaghetti Factory is this historical plaque that reads:
TROLLEY SQUARE HISTORIC MARKER
OLDEST SALT LAKE TROLLEY
This trolley is the oldest in Salt Lake City, a 300 Series that dates back to 1922. The chassis was discovered in a field at approximately 21st South and 3600 West. Trolley Square Associates paid $1.00 for it.
