Sometimes simple is beautiful and that describes this memorial which is located in front of the one building in town that parobably has more visitors than any other. Set just to the side of the sidewalk leading to the front doors of the town's library, it is seen by young and old alike.
The natural stone and bronze plaque of the monument has aged gracefully and in front of it is a much newer podium of red granite with the Disabled American Veterans' insignia and the words "And Auxiliary Chapter 133 Mancelona" in white letters below it.
