You can find this sculpture on the walkway that goes between University Avenue and Nathan Phillips Square. Every time I pass this sculpture I want to touch it - I wonder if others do too because there is definitely a golden area on the sculpture that looks like other hands have rubbed it for luck.

"Fred Gans was a lawyer and amateur musician and sculptor who was shot to death in Osgoode Hall by the enraged ex-husband of a woman he was representing in an alimony case. In life he had admired Kantaroff's work, so his family, friends and associates funded this statue in his memory. The sharp cutoffs on the other side represent a life terminated prematurely."
