This playground is located at John Hinkel Park in Berkeley, California. The playground was built by John Hinkel in 1919 and gifted to the City along with the park land.

The location of the playground is a part of the original gift by John Hinkel, and though it may have been restored long ago, the equipment is now very old. It consists of large old-style swing sets, an old teeter totter, and a couple of more modern springy sit-on rides.

Restrooms are port-a-potty's down by the amphitheater, but they were locked, perhaps only for use during amphitheater shows.
