The posted coordinates are for the dedication plaque beside the boatramp. The legend and map on the plaque give info on the location of the wreck, just offshore.

In an attempt to identify the wreck, historical research was carried out using the resources of a number of museums, libraries and archives and through interviews with people living in the area. The Levi Young, built at Sand Point, less than 2 kilometers away, was one possibility due to the similar dimensions and history.
