Charles Melville Hays went over to Europe in order to pick out furniture for his soon to be opened hotel, unfortunately for him, he chose to return to North America abooard that ill-fated vessel, The Titanic, and was drowned on April 14th 1912. Ever since the opening of the hotel, staff and guests have seen the apparition of a man who strongly resembles Mr. Hays all over the hotel, and there have been episodes of shaking and rattling noises all through the building, which cannot naturally be accounted for. One guest fled from her room when objects in it took flight around her. The unidentified apparition of a little girl is sometimes seen as well.
