St. Helen's well is reputed to have healing properties. St. Helen's well is mentioned in several places. Until 1940s St. Helen's well was the village's main water supply. As it never dried up even in times of drought. The area around the well was cleared and improved in 2008 by villagers. See blue plaque. An ode to this is in the village hall, in dialect.
