Born in Llanddulas in 1893, Lewis Valentine was a Baptist minister, author, pacifist and political activist. The first president of Plaid Cymru and its first parlaimntary candidate in the 1928 election. In 1836, he was part of a protest against the building of a bombing school in Pen y Berth.
Lewis Valentine was one of the ministers at Capel Y Tabernacl, where this red plaque in located.
The plaque is bi-lingual, the English text reads:

Nationalist and pacifist.
Minister of Tabernacl Chapel and a founder and first president
of Plaid Cymru. Imprisoned for the burning of
RAF bombing school at Pen Y Berth, Caernarfonshire.
and the Welsh text reads:

Gweinidog Capel y Tabernacl, ac un or sylfaenwyr, a Llwydd cyntaf,
Plaid Cymru. Fe'i carcharwyd am losgi'r
