Just outside Dwingeloo, on the edge of the National Park Dwingelderveld find Planetron Cinedome. A special attraction just by the design of the building. On a large dome-shaped projection of 350 sqm, the largest screen in Northern Netherlands, dazzling performances are shown.
During the film shows about the impression you get yourself journey. The projection on the giant screen with a sound system that immerses you in a sea of ??sound gives you the sensation to be moved to other worlds!
Cinedome Planetron strives to show images of an educational character. The subjects of the performances can vary widely. As the supply of new large-screen movies is not great, and there are considerable differences in quality of supply, it may be that several films are shown in the same genre.
The performances are suitable for all ages and Dutch Spoken.

Dwingeloo (Drents: Dwingel) is een dorp in de provincie Drenthe in Nederland, behorende tot de gemeente Westerveld. Tot de gemeentelijke herindeling van 1 januari 1998 was het een zelfstandige gemeente, waartoe ook de buurschappen Westeinde, Eemster, Leggeloo, Lhee en Lheebroek en gedeeltes van Geeuwenbrug en Dieverbrug behoorden. Op 1 januari 2004 had het dorp 2363 inwoners.
De grote groene brink in het centrum van het dorp is beschermd dorpsgezicht. Dwingeloo werd in september 2012 uitgeroepen tot Groenste dorp van Europa.
