Long Description:
A out of use fountain that has been restored to stand as a monument on the Cross in Oswestry. It appears to be made of white sandstone and is in a good condition considering its 150 year age and the high local rainfall of this area.

It has a Christian cross on the top of it, and is likely to be what gave this part of Oswestry its name as the location is not on a cross road, it is a 3 way splint in the road. As such the fountain has a three way break and three collection pots for each direction.

There are some old etching on the stone they are on three sides and read:-

Anno Domini 1862
