The Beach neighbourhood, on the shores of Lake Ontario, is a very popular place for dogs. A lot of the people living in this neighbourhood own dogs and often come to the boardwalk and beach for walks. For years there was no off-leash area but a few years ago this section of the beach was set aside and last winter the city built a new fence for the area.

If you sit on a bench, on the boardwalk, and watch people walk by with their dogs you will be entertained by most of the dogs making a bee-line towards this off-leash area. The area has been allowed to go wild so it now has an assortment of trees, bushes, weeds, etc. growing there.
