This waterfall is dramatic in it's multitiered cascade, which appears to nearly spray directly onto the highway! The waterfall drops about 114 feet, with an array of separate braids that consolidate into a single fall that plunges and additional 3 consecutive tiers of about 14, 18 and 13 feet each. This water fall is very popular and often photographed, especially from the roadway. Cross the road and clamber up closer to the falls for additional perspectives that the casual visitor will miss!
Highway Directions
From Jasper Alberta begin at intersection of Highway 16 Yellowhead Highway and Highway 93 Icefields Parkway, drive south for 94.3km (58.6mi), turn right at the sign marking Tangle Creek Falls, falls is on your left (east). From Lake Louise Alberta begin at intersection of Highway 1 Transcanada Highway and Highway 93 Icefields Parkway, drive north for 132km (82mi), carefully turn left at the sign marking Tangle Creek Falls, falls is on your right (east). There are restroom facilities and some parking.
