A plaque for John Williams next to the entrance of the Capri guest house (the original town hall).

He had a great influence on the history of the town in his role as the agent of the local landowners, the Mostyn family. He is believed to have been the author of the anonymously published book "Tourist Guide to Llandudno".

The plaque is bi-lingual, the English text reads:


JOHN WILLIAMS
1811 - 1876
First Mostyn agent in period of model resort;
first town clerk; agent to Ty Gwyn
and old mine companies.
