Lady Mostyn was born in 1830 at Birling Manor near Maidstone, Kent. She was one of seven children. She married Thomas Mostyn and moved to the estate in Llandudno. After her husbands death she moved for a time back to Kent but continued to run the estate through an agent.
She returned to live in Llandudno in 1875, where she died in 1912.
