Long Description:

This sundial is located at the Morehead Planetarium and Observatory at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. It is about 35 feet in diameter. This sundial can be visited 24/7.

As the story goes, the planetarium director insisted that the sundial be "accurate enough to catch a train". While passenger trains no longer stop in Chapel Hill, this is one remarkably accurate sundial.
