On November 20, 1858, Marquis Wood, sold approximately one-half acre of land to the Little Wolf School District for the establishment of a school for the sum of $1.00. The First school was a log cabin. The present building was built in 1871. The school remained open until 1964 when the old furnace needed to be repaired or replaced the school district decided to close the school.
The present owners bought the school in 1974. The roof is still the original asphalt shingles except where the old bell free stood. The bell free was removed because the roof leaked in that spot and new shingles where installed.
