The architect George Alfred Humphreys was in the employ of the Mostyn family, the local landowners. He designed many buildings in Llandudno this post office being one of his most impressive.

The plaque is bi-lingual, the English text reads:

GEORGE ALFRED HUMPHREYS
1865 - 1948
Agent and architect to Mostyn family.
Appointed Chief Agent to Mostyn Estate in 1920.
Designed many local buildings, including Post Office.
Early amateur archaeologist and historian.
Type of Historic Marker: Red metal plaque.
