Mesker Memorial Ampitheater is an 8,500 seat ampitheater in Evansville, IN. It is located in Mesker Park near Mesker Park Zoo. The venue contains permenant seating for 5,500 and lawn seating for 3,000. It was built in 1936 originally from the money left from the death of philanthropist George Mesker.
The venue has held numerous concerts through the years. In recent times, the most popular use for the venue has been *FREE* summer movie series shown on weekends throughout the summer months.
