This memorial dedicated Colorado's [Union] Civil War heroes is engraved 'In Memory of Our Honored Dead.' It was placed in 1914 by the Nathaniel Lyon W.[omen's] R.[elief] C.[orps] No. 27. The monument has a 'generic' Union soldier in a winter dress. The monument stands about 20' high (6.09 m). There is a time capsule located at the base of the monument.
