The grave of this German-born, Revolutionary War veteran rests in the quiet town of Abbottstown, just off the Lincoln Highway, at their center circle. There are several Revolutionary War veteran graves located here amongst the early townspeople.

Many residents of this early town were German immigrants. Many of the headstones are in German, including this one. I was able to translate some if it which reads "Here Lies the Body of", then the soldiers name along with some dates and other incomprehensible writing, similar to the other German headstones. Many of them are also obscured by age and weathering. There is Revolutionary War medallion stuck in the ground to the right of the grave. I was unsuccessful in my search to uncover any solid information about this specific veteran, however, I did find several references to a Captain of the same name who served in the Revolutionary War and was from this area.
This is a cemetery, albeit it small, worth visiting. Parking is available at the rear of the church, across the tiny street.
