Col. Edwin L. Drake (drilled the first commercial oil well)and Ida Tarbell (famous Journalist) are among the many people that are buried here. I have found one webpage that states that there are 512 people buried here but I am sure that is not right. There is more like 2000+ people buried here. There is a statue that is listed in the Smithsonian Museum (The Driller). Several Mausoleums, a cannon and several other interesting features here. As with other cemeteries you should feel free to look around but please be respectful of the dead and and those visiting them.
