WELY, the “End of the Road” radio station serves the town of Ely and surrounding Arrowhead region but is live-streamed over the Internet 24 hours a day. It offers an eclectic mix of programming, with a variety of music, news, sports and special shows. The Morning Show includes interviews with local personalities to provide interaction with listeners, community events highlights, and personal and emergency notices several times a day. Other programs include the End of the Road Trading Post, Pure 80’s, Natural Health and Wellness Hour, and a Polka Show. Live sports events are also covered from across the state.
Owned by the Bois Forte Band of Chippewa, it is the only station which can be picked up by canoe campers in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.
