The Rose and Crown is a pub name with obvious allusions to royalty. But is it more specific than this?

The rose and the crown are two of the major symbols relating to loyalty to Queen (or King) and country. However, although the use of the two together is an obvious thing to do, is the rose that of Lancaster or York?

This one is the red rose of the House of Lancaster.
