It is not often one sees these old milestones as many were removed when replaced by steel signs or they ended up in someone's garden. This one shows it is 33 miles to Braidwood & 51 miles to Nowra. When the distance was measured in miles the trip to Nowra took over 2 hours, such was the poor state of the road.
