A very old church of Saxon origin which is mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086.

It is a grade 2 listed building as is the nearby manor house.

The old flint walls of the chancel were repaired in 1611 and the nave and the tower rebuilt in brick.

A new nave, chancel and vestries were added in 1875.

In 2004 the building was further extended by developing the Victorian vestries.

The graveyard has some very interesting and old graves.

Well worth a visit lot’s of history around here.

A lot of the above came from the official church website, thanks.
